Background:
Okay. Here we go. My FIRST German single malt.
This particular distillery has a core single malt and rye lineup.
This particular expression was produced in a unique way:
Double distilled: first distillation in a copper column still, and second distillation in a pot still.
The Review:

Color: Oak. full viscosity. very slow legs! This should be interesting if nothing else.
Nose: It noses like a wheated bourbon! Pencil shavings, sherbert, hot cocoa. Quite an unusual nose for a single malt…. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.
Palate: Hazelnut, Toasted oats, not much else…
Finish: short, but coats the tongue.. hint of cherry.
Comments: . It’s not bad….really. It’s certainly not great, but it’s definitely not a drain pour. I imagine that this is a very approachable single malt for Weller fans. I’ll give it an extra quarter of a point for creativity.
